Nikki's New Puppy

My daughter got a new puppy, so I made this card  to go in her welcome home  package.  It also fits right in the Crafty Gals Add a Heart challenge.  Craft Rocket Challenges has a Love Challenge.  Everybody loves a new  puppy.  Cute Card Thursday has a Cute Critters Challenge.  Crazy Hazelnut Challenges has  her usual Patterned paper challenge.  The Cat's Pajamas has an Animal Challenge.  CardsTV has an Anything Goes Challenge.

Coffee

Just a  quickie before bed.  I used the sketch at Sketch Saturday for this card.  City Crafter has a Polka Dot Challenge  ending soon.  Seize the Birthday has a Coffee or Tea Challenge.  Crafty Calendar Challenges has a  2 or more layers challenge.

Wise Men

A few weeks ago my sister sent me a picture of this card  she was  making for Christmas next year.  I really like the design of it.  It took a while to cut all the pieces but in the end it was well worth it. Fab N Funky has a Christmas Challenge. Word Art Wednesday has an Anything Goes challenge.  Hiding in My Craft Room has an Any Holiday Challenge.

Easter Ornament

For the Die Cutting Divas  Anything But a Card Challenge I chose these sweet Easter Ornaments.  I used several dies to make this all come out right. The stamp set is from Art Gone Wild.  They  have several different  styles of this circle stamp.  I am sure I will be  getting more.  Crafty Creations and One Crazy Stamper both have an Anything Goes Challenge.

Hoppy Spring

I've been seeing a lot of cute cards made with this die. I finally decided to go ahead and buy it.  Today, I used two images from Bug a Boo to make this card.  Bunny Trio  only had three images so I used one of the bunnies from the mini  bunny block set.  I really like this card.  It is my favorite so far this year. It fits the sketch at Sketch Saturday perfectly. Another Elephant

Here's  yet another  Cute Elephant  card.  Little Miss Muffett has an Anything Goes Challenge.  I like to use  her images so I  chose this elephant again.  I used the  sketch from  Tuesday Morning Sketches.  Di's Digis has a Red and Pink Challenge.

Hope you are  all enjoying nice  weather. It has been terrific here this week.  Sure  cuts into paper play time but I get  sunshine playtime instead.

Here's  my favorite embossing  folder yet again.  This  just looks so  good.  Today I used  a sketch from  {CAS}e  this Sketch.  CAS on Friday has a dies challenge.  Craft Rocket has a Love challenge.
Crafting By Designs has a Valentine Challenge still  going.  Crafting From the Heart and Through the Craft Room Door both have anything  goes challenges.

Bees

The Bees are  buzzing and that is  a  sure  sign Spring is just around the corner.  Once again I am cleaning off my desk and ran across these scraps of paper so I started looking for a  sketch  to use them.  MFT Card Challenges has this  sketch.  Seemed to be just what I needed  for this  bright, happy card. Creative Knockouts,  Jo's Scrap Shack and Crafting From the Heart all have Anything Goes Challenges.

Hugs

Just a quick minute to post this card.  Orange isn't a  color I u se a lot of but today seemed fitting.  I used the  sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches for this elegant card.  I think the  embossing  just adds a  touch of class to the lacy edges on the paper.  Simon Says  Wednesday has a Die  cuts Challenge.   Cards TV has an Anything Goes Challenge.  Cute Card Thursday has a one word  sentiment challenge.  As You Like It has an Add a Sentiment challenge.  I like simple phrases on the front of the card. Crafty Sentiments has a  flower challenge.

Bee Mine

I raise  bees so anytime I see  a bee on paper or cards I just hafta  make it.  I really like how this turned out.  The faux stitching around the  heart  showing the bee's flight  gives it an extra  zap for me. My Husband  will be getting this card this evening when he comes  home from work.

My Valentine

Another  quick card while the kids are napping.  This is another  die I received in the mail a  few days ago.  I thought it was so  pretty. I cut it from red paper then again in white so I could  color the  flowers. This sketch comes from  Die Cutting Divas. Word Art Wednesday and CardsTV both have an Anything Goes Challenge ending soon.

Sketch

This sketch came from Freshly Made Sketches.  I really  had no clue what to do with it  until the mail came and I received this new  heart  die.  I just had to try it and this seemed a good place to put it.  Crafting From the Heart has  their usual  Anything Goes Challenge.

Butterflies

Today, I learned  a friend  lost her Mother.  It had been a long battle with cancer.  I don't do a lot of  sympathy cards  so I  didn't have a sentiment to go on the outside.  But I like the clean plain look of this.   I bought this  die a few weeks ago and  hadn't used it yet so  now it can be  put up instead of floating around on my desk just waiting to be used.

Elephant

Today I used scraps from my desk to put this  card  together.  I used the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches.  I'm not  quite sure  why but my camera made the  elephant look like he's standing sideways.  He's really not but I took the picture twice  and it looks the same  both times.  Crafty Creations has an Anything Goes Challenge.   Even though it made this card a little busier than I  normally  like I used  3 patterned papers for the background. Dream  Valley has a 3 patterned paper challenge.  MFT Challenges has a  color challenge this should work real well in.  Hiding in my Craft Room has a Super Scrap Saturday Challenge.

Happy Valentines Day

It seems I have  so little down  time any more.  Because of this  my style has changed to quick and easy. I don't really like it but it is better than  doing nothing at all.  Since it is so close to Valentines Day and I've done  no other card I cut several of these to mail out tomorrow. Some will be late but atleast the thought was there. 

 There are  quite a  few challenges this month  using Valentines/ Love as their theme.

Dragonfly

Another  embossing folder!  I fold  quite a few on clearance at Hobby Lobby last week.   So  rather than  shove them in the basket withal the other folders  I decided to try and use them first.  So far I'm doing pretty well.  This Dragonfly die was also on  clearance.  He didn't  cut  and emboss as well as I thought he might so he will probably not make into my favorite list.  Crafting by Designs has a  Wings challenge.  Die Cutting Divas and Cute Card Thursday both have an Anything Goes Challenge.

Julie's Birthday

Wow!  I am amazed  at all the crafting time Ive had this weekend.  The  weather was totally miserable so it was a good time to stay in where it is warm. Seems I missed  my friend Julie's Birthday   yesterday.  So I decided to drop by her work and  put this card on her desk along with a  little something special so she can find it tomorrow when she comes to work. 

I used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches and  embossed the background to give it a more finished looked.  I sorta  going thru a  pink and green stage right now so I'm calling them my favorite color scheme so I'm also using this  card in the Tuesday Throw Down favorite  Color Challenge. The Paper Shelter has a  Birthday Challenge.  Normally I like to use one of their images but for today I hope this will work. Tiddly Inks

This  sweet gal  found her way across my desk this afternoon.  I wasn't real sure what to do with her, but decided she would be perfect for my daughter's Birthday on Valentines Day.  I don't like birthday's that fall on Holidays because it sorta distracts from the birthday. This  embossing folder has  quickly become one  of my favorites. I've used it several times lately.  This  sketch is from Tuesday Morning Sketches and the Image is from Tiddly Inks.

Thank you cards are not something I use a lot of.  Today, however I did  find myself in need of one.  This one  goes to Julian for  all the extra little things he does for me.  Pile It on has a Thank you challenge with  a black and white  twist.  Simon Says Wednesday has an Anything Goes Challenge I've managed to overlook.

Sealed With a Kiss

The weather  here is  still frightful.  It is cool and windy today so it is definitely a stay at home  kind of day.  I saw these darling seals at Imagine That and  just wanted something cute and  simple.  I used the  sketch from MFT Sketch Challenges for this card.  Crafting from the Heart and Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge both have their usual   Anything Goes Challenge. Casology's Word for the week is Swoon.  I wasn't real sure how to approach that but seems these cute seals might "swoon" after their  kiss.  Just Add Ink has  a Romance challenge.  Hiding in My Craft Room has a Pinks and Reds challenge.  Aud Sentiments has a Valentine Sentiment  Challenge.  Casual Friday has a heart  hearts  and more hearts challenge.
